Job Description:

This Digital Products and Analytics department consists of merchandising, digital marketing/personalization, data insights and optimization, visualization, UX digital products, data analytics, and more.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Leverage data from a variety of sources to analyze business performance, identify areas of opportunity, and provide actionable insights to operations leaders and front-line personnel
  • Coordinate the testing of downstream data or applications to validate data accuracy/quality
  • Manage and mentor junior team members; lead hiring process for operations team members
  • Partner with operational business stakeholders to identify key initiatives, and engage data analytics team members to execute delivery of sustainable solutions to business problems, using data analysis, advanced analytics and data engineering best practices
  • Track projects from ideation to completion, including creating project roadmaps, project plans and
  • requirements; Lead status meetings and manage frequent communication to business
  • stakeholders, IT teams, and senior leadership, as required

Job Requirements:

  • Ability to thrive in project environments that often start with uncertain requirements or outcomes; ability to put definition and structure around problems and projects
  • 1+ year experience managing people
  • Outstanding writing, communication and presentation skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in quantitative field (statistics, engineering, business analytics, information systems, aviation management or related degree)
  • Familiarity with database interface tools, SQL and programming concepts, data management best practices and willingness to learn
  • Passionate about data analytics and visionary for how it can be applied, with strong strategic/critical thinking and problem-solving skills to complement
  • 5+ years of relevant professional experience
  • 3+ years of experience in analytical role (analysis, information science, data visualization or other relevant quantitative field)
  • Proven proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

Qualification & Experience:

  • Advanced Degree in Data Sciences
  • Experience working within various facets of an airline operation
  • Experience with statistical tools and concepts (R, SPSS, SAS)
  • Experience with programming language such as Python, Spark
  • Experience with Tableau, Spotfire or other visualization tools
  • Experience with statistical analysis and modeling including linear regression, segmentation, non-
  • linear predictive (e.g. logistic) regression and machine learning
  • Ability to proactively manage stakeholder expectations on current and future business needs
  • Ability to communicate complex quantitative concepts in a clear, precise and actionable manner
