Each summer URBN Inc. welcomes creatives from across the country to immerse themselves within teams across our portfolio of brands and gain paid, hands-on learning experience in the area of business which they choose to pursue. For 10 weeks, interns will share in the unique culture & perks found at our Home Office in the historic Philadelphia Navy Yard, while developing the skills to succeed in a fast-paced retail environment. Job Responsibilities:

  • Attend buying meetings regarding product selection, design and style
  • Support the daily operations within designated buying area and collaborate with the assistant or associate buyer on all necessary tasks
  • Brainstorm and research new products and trends within assigned category of the business
  • Managing samples / the flow of merchandise
  • Learn the product Lifecycle and merchandising’s role in the process
  • Organize samples for meetings, photo shoots, and sample closet
  • Assist merchandising team with meetings, turnover, emails, and projects

Job Requirements:

  • Learn the product Lifecycle and merchandising’s role in the process
  • Ability to prioritize projects and multitask
  • Rudimentary understanding of retail math
  • Detail oriented
  • Creative thinker
  • Proficient in Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint

Qualification & Experience:

  • Retail experience preferred
